After the Hopfolk race was created on '''[[Karrots]]''', many orbits passed, and one Hop in particular was born to lead the other Hops into ascension and conquer the Universe. He was Sop, and his dynasty began with him and his wife, as they bonded after Sop had returned from The First Great Hop Expansion. They began with two children, and thus the dynasty was born.<br />

Sop and his spouse are the only children of their parents. When they became engaged, they combined and used the surnames of Sop's parents, to honor the lineage of his family, as his spouse's family had no surname. When their children were later brought into the world, they inherited their surnames as well. <br />
