'''The Knights of Sop '''are a group of hopfolk that '''[[Hop]]''' appointed to the position of '''Knight'''. The Knighthood was part of the '''[[Grand Sop Army]]''' by '''[[Sop]]''' during his rise to power. After the fall of '''[[The Council Courts]]''', these members were rolled into the GSA at Tier 7. They exist to enact special missions, such as search and rescue operation, assisting Hoppist allies, guarding Hoppist buildings and worlds.

While the title of Knight was previously separate from the '''[[Hoppist Rank Ladder]]''', by default, all Knights are instantly Tier 7 on it. If they did not pass the [[Initiate Trials|'''Initiate Trials''']] prior, they are allowed to take the test at their own request. Passing the test is require to ascend past Tier 7.

Their primary duty outside times of war is to maintain and to guard the '''[[Temples of Sop]].''' Knights also serve as guards for Hoppist territory where standard military divisions do not qualify. If called into action, they must follow and obey Hop, with any request.

The Knights selected are the most experienced and loyal hopfolk to be trained in special martial arts. They monitor and protect those that visit the temples. Most modern Knights were exceptional contributors during the '''Hop Civil War''', especially in the battalion that Hop lead to the '''[[Battle of Tuirqo]]'''.

Knights carry whatever gear they desire, with two notable pieces of standard equipment:

* An advanced suit of armor with technology that ensures the Knight is not only protected, but is clear for all to see. It is intimidating to the enemy and being a beacon of strength for allies. It shares most of its technology with the '''[[HHK-44 Exosuit]]'''.
* Their ribbon, functioning as their Tier rank, including a special identifier and a source of power for their armor.

== Requirements for Knighthood ==
These are requirements for one to obtain the title of a Knight:
* Be a natural hopfolk.
*Complete devotion to Hoppism.
* Have no interest in any form of romantic relationship, nor a family.
* Excel at fighting in all forms, including a vehicle proficiency.
*Mentor and guard all Hoppists possible.
Any Knights that are not of these requirements or behaviors will be removed from service by Hop personally. Their prior Rank Ladder Tier is maintained, excluding demotion due to related misconduct. Knights who lose their title are welcome to continue to serve in the Grand Sop Army or enjoy retirement. Those who are upset may speak to Hop or a Tier 4 Knight at a Temple of Sop to discuss the matter.

== Mantra of the Knights ==
New Knights must recite a vow upon promotion and receiving their armor and weapon. It is also done when there is a change of guard at a Temple of Sop. This is roughly translated from Hopspeak. This was created Hop after his father ascended and he wanted to honor him through the Knights.
