Hopspeak

Summary

Hopspeak is a language Hop made and adapted from other popular fleshy languages so Hop can speak it, and fleshies can understand it. Since arriving on Earth, Hop has been speaking and thinking in this tongue with fleshies and among hopself for many orbits. Most sounds in the language are not able to be made by organics, due to the language being telepathic in nature originally.

History

Olde Hopspeak, currently, is only used in grand Hoppist ceremonies. Such as the promotions. Or when a marriage of one or more partners occurs between Hoppists.

A long time ago, Olde Hopspeak was one kind of language. The hops from the northern hemispheres spoke Hoppish. In the East hemispheres along the equator, the giants spoke Hoppese. The languages mixed over eons and even slang became universal. By Sop's time, all hops, even offworld, spoke and thought in Hopspeak, and are given a data token with lessons on the structure of the wording and how to express feelings telepathically and verbally.

Modern Hopspeak is the primary language all Hoppists are expected to speak in.

Prefixes and Suffixes

P. Hop-Friend-: A being Hop considers a friend

P. Kuvu-: Used for Hop's friends that are going through tough times

P. Yin-: Title for those Hop wishes to get to know

S. -kun: Affectionate title assigned to Hop-Friends

S. -chan: Slightly less affectionate term than "-kun"

S. -sama: Term for a respected individual

S. -chi: Term for those who Hop questions (motives, identity, etc.)
