Summary

Starfall is the name of an event that spells doom and death for a planet. Whether the planet or its main sentient populations are destroyed is irrelevant.

Examples of a Starfall are:

• Electric Eye(s) firing upon a planet
• Mass Orbital Bombing
• Mass disease or chemical attack
• Towing a planet into a black hole's gravitational range

Impact

In history, Hoppists see Starfall as a part of nature's cycle and a necessity, however it can be horribly misunderstood as malevolence. When Hops destroy a planet or commit to genocide, it is always because it was deemed needed by a greater power, such as Sop. Most death is painless and instant, as it means to be efficient. Hop believes most Starfall events result in an afterlife or a sudden peace being made for those perishing, regardless if they are friend or foe of Hopself.
