New Reyushonim

Summary

A neutral outer space complex located near Unis, New Reyushonim (reh-YOO-show-nim) floats around the star system, as a hub between Hoppist and K'Ursan Federation space. It exists now, almost entirely automated by drones, and draws energy from the star it orbits.

History

First Great Hop Expansion

A planet located near the star Unis, Reyushonim was destroyed when a meteor shattered the mantle and cause the planet to erupt its core into space, past its atmosphere, igniting the planet and causing an explosion that formed an asteroid belt around the star. This planet was destroyed before it was inhabited, so there were no loses. This occurred as Sop rose to power, and made contact with other beings during the first Great Hop Expansion.

However, plans to make it into a trading hub and rest stop along the Universal Equator would have been scraped, if not for Sop's genius and guidance. He and his ally Buddy, constructed a space station, that grew in complexity and scope as time went by. The largest asteroid chunk they could find was converted into a omnidirectional pseudo-world. Resources scavenged from the planet's debris were taken in to construct the base platform. Then numerous buildings of many stories were constructed upon the foundation. As years passed, many moved in, using the world as a point to jump to other systems peacefully.

Hop Civil War

After Sop ascended, Hop declared a state of emergency on neutral spaces, recalling all Hoppist forces, excluding civilians. The K'Ursan Federation took over the area with other races, and eventually abandoned most of the lower levels, leaving them as storage for drones and droids to sort through. Civilian hops on the fake world stayed in hiding, later sneaking safely into K'Ursan space as the war went on.

The New Sop Order attempted to capture this area on their own, however, K'Ursan forces heavily resisted them, to small success, keeping them at the edge of the Unis gravitational pull. Eventually, due to stretching their forces thin, they ceased confrontation. Civilians hops were banned from the area until the end of the Hop Civil War, unless intending to head to Karrots and accompanied by GSA forces.

Second Great Hop Expansion

After Hop won the war, The K'Ursan leader allowed civilian hops to return either to New Reyushonim, or board the borrowed Electric Eye, "Mirnvassu", transporting them to Karrots. For several orbits, more drones were deployed, automated ships dock and leave on a routine basis, taking unique elements, materials and data across the stars. The Hoppist Network connects to the K'Ursan Recreational Virtual Environment, and a shared datacenter is used between both races. A massive supercomputer, powered by "Mirnvassu", wielding the solar power from Unis, sustains the dual network hypermachine so information can freely be shared.
