Summary

The holiday/ceremony of Ornshire is a special occasion to observe and reflect on themselves. It is a dedicated event for reflection, guiding Hoppists on their Journeys.

The event takes place once a year/orbit and is treated with the utmost respect by even non-Hoppists. All Hoppists and non-Hoppists may join.

History

Ceremony

Hop will first announce when Ornshire takes place in an orbit. In that morning, Hop will begin setting down candles in a path for all to gather at. All are to make their way to this spot while Hop sets up a special bell.

At sunset (or rotation's end), everyone should arrive at their designated gathering point, Hop will ring the bell 3 times to show the event is commencing. Around one's body, they must affix 2 elastic or tiable bands on any body part that directly touches the ground. After the last ring, all shall kneel and face the setting sun (or a light they placed in lack of a star), and close their eyes.

Everyone must reflect on poor decisions they have made, or good things they have not yet done. They are to meditate and seek improvement in their lives and dedicate it to becoming like Sop, and ascend.

Until the sun sets, or until Hop rings the bell again, all must sit patiently and think. When Hop rings the bell, all can stand up begin to enjoy their hard work and Hop will present gifts for all who attend.

Candy, toys, and small essentials are given out to keep everyone merry. There will be music and dancing, and food catering. This can go on for a very long time, but it must end if either all the candles go out, or the sun comes back up. Once done, all are free to return to their schedules, and Hop is to clean the area up and pay for everything.

Emergency Departures

For emergencies, one may leave quietly with Hop's permission, however they must make up for missing the event if they are a Hoppist. Hop will make a make-up day for the event when they tell Hop when they can sit again for the ceremony.

Non-Hoppist Rules

  • All non-Hoppists are exempt from Hoppist punishment, but are required to re-take the event if they with to return. They must try to follow all the rules of the event and behave as if they were a Hoppist. If not, Hop can force them to leave for being disrespectful. Recordings are permitted with consent from Hop or Vibri.
  • Non-Hoppists are excluded from receiving gifts from Hop after the ceremony. These are reserved for Hoppists that should be rewarded for being faithful.
