Hospitality Rules
Appearance
Hoppist Belief
All Hoppists (true and practicing) must abide the beliefs held by its founders and Gop when visiting or inhabiting the hoperty of another. Respect must be upheld regardless of the owner's presence, even passively in death. Friends and allies of Hoppists are the only beings which can grant hospitality. Enemies cannot, and therefore, if engaged, it is the duty of a Hoppist to conquer and claim back the space.
All friendly spaces are to be treated as if owned by another Hoppist. In times of War, refer to previous agreements made with the involved parties.
Rulings
- Hoppists must only take up the space given to them. If confused on the owner's definition of rented space, inquire the owner. If the owner is passed or unresponsive, assume the original (or most recent conditional) agreement is in place. Otherwise leave.
- When present, remain quiet and communicate without audio waves or physical means when possible. Be unnoticed.
- Make any due payments or exchanges on time. Trade respectfully.
- Make sure the well being of the owner/residents is well at all times.
- Do not invite guests or other Hoppists without explicit consent. Reveal intent of usage of space and length of time in the area.
- A Hoppist is responsible for their guests and their behavior. Clean their messes or have the guest do it, do not leave it upon the owner.
- Combat is not tolerated. Training is, however, pending consent of the owner(s)/host(s).
- When leaving temporarily, hide your belongings to prevent theft and prevent being in the way of the owner/resident(s).
- When leaving permanently, be sure to take all the owner is not entitled to per your agreement. Leave a special parting gift they'd appreciate. If the host banished you, do not leave a gift without an attached apology.
- If returning to a previous residence or visiting area, bring a gift of similar value to the previous parting gift.
