Summary

Sop once told Hop once that the best way to achieve power was to earn it through improvement. The Rank Ladder of Hoppism was built on the foundations of Sopipsism. Enlisted forces historically needed structure to maintain order during intense campaigns of warfighting. Combat, political discourse and sudden insurgency are to be met with tactical, organized might led by the might of the Grand Sop Army.

Ranks will be appointed by Hop directly and must demonstrate proof of their accomplishments and do so in Hop's presence. Alternatively, records can be submitted for inspection or be performed at the Grand Sop Army Academy on Karrots. If unable to accomodate, The Knights of Sop have Hop's blessing to promote those to a rank at least two ranks beneath them.

Official Ranks

The highest to lowest ranks are sorted in the following order:

Tier 1: Gop, the All-Hoppy (For Gop only, beyond unobtainable)

Tier 2: Sop, The Chosen Hop (For Sop only, unobtainable)

Tier 3: Hop, The Scholar & Prophet (For Hop only, unobtainable)

Tier 4: Hopstar, formerly Major Officer of the Army (Can oversee several jurisdictions, most trusted rank)

Tier 5: Master Hopficer (Veteran Hoppist, oversees Tier 6 leaders, usually thousands of orbits of experience)

Tier 6: Senior Hopficer (Expert in Hoppism, leads an entire division, and passed the Trial of Sop)

Tier 7: Hopficer / Hopling-Officer (Long term Hoppist, very aware of Hop Lore, allowed to hand out the Initiate Trials, usually leads small divisions or squads in a division, equivalent to a Knight of Sop)

Tier 8: Hopling, Class II (Granted to those that passed the Initiate Trials, cannot be obtained with seniority)

Tier 9: Hopling, Class I (Standard Hoppist, meant for those with no proven allegiance or commitment)

Non-Hoppist "Ranks"

The following "ranks" are examples of non-Hoppists. The following are not applied to followers of Hoppism:

Gop-less (Undecided, or former Hoppist)

Infidel (Follower of inferior ideology)

Anti-Hoppist (For strictly those seen as or self-identified enemies of Hoppism)

Honorary Ranks

No Knight of Sop has ever been a race other than a hopfolk, and of those, being a long-term Hoppist follower is mandatory. Many allies exemplify these traits and are of note as honorary Knights, with the Olde Hopspeak title "Vehv" added to their given name, so they were granted exclusive permission to train with and learn besides actual Knights.

Vehv "Frhank" and Vehv Buddy (the brothers of K'Ursa) are the only Knights to be appointed this way by Sop himself.
