Milo

History

Origin

Unlike other members of the faction called The Lightning Rangers, Milo is a public figure whose history is fairly well known in the Universe. Both his real identity and the background of his actions are understood to be motivated by a lust for power and infamy. A member of the tigerfolk race of the Niyip Major Planetary System, Milo began life as an underground fight club legend during the First Great Hop Expansion. Allegedly he fought for his own survival and pride, however he was eventually overcome with anger towards those rewarding his performances. Breaking free of a slaughter match, he fled his homeworld and landed on an unknown planet controlled by the K'Ursan Federation.

Remaining quiet, Milo forged his identity and dropped his stage names, only going by the surname of a person who raised him. Records show no person with this name exists in Hoppist record nor in the Federation, likely being another criminal entity. Milo did finally find a new family and a way of life that suited him. How he encountered the group that became The Lightning Rangers and how they left their world is skeptical at best. Reports claim Milo had defended one of the core members during a mission. His strength and bravery caused them to offer him a role on the team on the spot.

The Lightning Rangers

His early career with the rangers is not well known, however Milo would occasionally post bounties for "celestial entities" that he and his crew would hunt and exterminate. While not unlike the Hop-led Purge of the Infinite Ones, the rangers held no being in regard to be spared. One day, while Sop and a young Hop were going through deep space, their ship was attacked mid-warp and send plummeting into an empty alien space station. This area became the battleground between the father-son duo and The Lightning Rangers. It is suspected that Milo or the twins, Heaven and Whisker, were directly responsible for pulling the pair from flight. This began a brutal conflict where Sop had to fend off the heavy-hitters of the group and protect his son.

Eventually, Sop grew weary of the conflict and feared the worst for Hop, as this event would serve as poor training if he was captured or Sop was defeated. With an intense prayer to Gop that was granted by a miracle, Sop gained the strength needed to overcome his foes, but only temporarily. Slaying the two twins, Milo and the others fled without a word, realizing surrender would be pointless in the face of Sop's wrath. It was seen that the remaining energy of the twins was absorbed by Milo just as they warped away.

Capture

TBA

Current Whereabouts

Milo, as well as the other rangers, are considered fugitives that are missing in action. If spotted, they are to be reported via Hoppist Network to Hop directly. Information leading to their capture will be rewarded by either the Grand Sop Army or the K'Ursan Federation, depending on jurisdiction.

Capability

Powers and Abilities:

  • Electricity/Lightning Creation/Manipulation, Superhuman Physical Characteristics
  • Stated to have surpassed Whisker and Heaven, casually capable of destroying celestial bodies, growing far higher as they charged their electric build-up.
  • During their first encounter Sop noted he was slower and more lumbering than Zap, but nearly on par with Heaven and Whisker. Currently, Milo is likely faster than or as fast as Zap by himself without needing to charge.
  • High enough intellect to outwit and come blow-to-blow with a highly experienced Sop for countless rotations.

Reliant on cosmic energy for powers, high-end feats are performed after preparation is made, therefore making them unable to achieve the height of their charging. High output attacks and increased fighting speed appeared to require several moments of intense concentration and uninterrupted charging, decreasing back down to base as powers are used.

Hoppist Orders

By the order of Hop, if encountered, do not engage with these criminals! Send for Hop immediately and flee the area. Help will arrive to identify and detain the entities. Knights of Sop are cleared to surround the area but not engage.
