Royal Ampbersamd Company

Summary

Before the Grand Sop Army was formed, master engineer and mechanic of the defunct 4th Mechanic Union, Horduarus-Sho founded the Ampbersamd Company. The company specialized in manufacturing and modifying star ships. Eventually they were adopted by the Grand Sop Army during the first Great Hop Expansion, and were responsible for creating a majority of Hoppist ships for countless orbits. Including Sop's own personal ships.

History

Origins

Years before Sop led the first Great Hop Expansion, Horduarus-Sho, a master gravity particle engineer and star ship mechanic, retired from his job as Foreman at the 4th Mechanic Union, but a quarter orbit later it fell without his insight and leadership. His interests had him pursuing much knowledge of propulsion systems, inspired from his job at the union and a love for exploration, so he began a company named after his grandfather, his inspiration for becoming a mechanic. The name addition of the title "Royal" was not added until suggested by Prince Hop (later only going by Sop) during the unveiling of one the newest additions to their lineup.

Horduarus picked up several retired specialists from the union and eventually began work on a legendary class of star ship, named The Clover. Highly sought for its speed, durability and style, the premier made the ship a part of Hoppist history when Sop purchased it as his first personal vehicle. This was before mandatory trade existed on Karrots. In fact, Horduarus never charged customers more than 100 carrots if they sourced materials built their ship with him. The Council Courts demanded a fee from each vehicle sale, but Horduarus-Sho never reported his transactions, believing in Sop's way of life more than the establishment's.

Military Adoption

Sop came into power when he gave many speeches on his philosophy and understanding of the Universe using science and morality. After uniting Karrots, Sop was honored when Horduarus-Sho approached him with respect and asked to join the Grand Sop Army as his primary manufacturer. Mutually respected, they joined forces, making the Royal Ampbersamd Company became the primary vehicle and mech resource for the Grand Sop Army and multiple Hop-allied factions in the Universe.

The ships were often too small (and challenging to power) for beings that were far larger, often needing entire power-delivery reworks and different canopies for upscaled variations, which ultimately never became widely produced. Rare copies of fleshy-sized ships existed for some defected soldiers during the wars.

Continued Existence

Horduarus-Sho retired just before The Endless War for The Eternal Throne, but his coworkers and apprentices learned all they could from him and his knowledge and skill was widespread by that time. He went far off into space looking for a new challenge in his Journey. It is unknown where he went, but the Royal Ampbersamd crest is displayed proudly on all their products across the stars, parked in hangars and landing pads on trillions of planetary systems.

Production Line

Starfighters & Starships

The Clover - General purpose starship with great durability and acceleration, overall workhorse, great fleet vehicle. Very common.

Era-Shifter I & II - A line of luxury style vehicles meant for grand journeys. Extremely durable and comfortable. Both generations are rare.

Gilpbin - A small pod used for aerial/gas travel. Often fitted into larger vessels as an escape pod or small cargo container between ships and high population areas that require even distribution, like bases or allied worlds. Very common.

Command Ships & Carriers

Her Majesty's Finest - Major flagship, functioned as a carrier, destroyer, space station and forward operating base. One-time construction. Destroyed during Punished for Ignorance.

Crimson Wrath - The replacement for Her Majesty's Finest, treated as a mobile space station with carrier, base and weapon abilities. Joint construction with several other manufacturers on Karrots, designed by RAC on Karrots. One-time construction. Stolen during the Hop Civil War by the New Sop Order, destroyed personally by Hop.

Mantle Lifter - The primary frigate design used by the GSA spatial branch. Features 6 sided hull, retracting bridge, and 2 hangars. Very common.

Other Craft

Nebulaen - A cargo fleet vehicle, capable of storing numerous items, while having the power to fight intense gravity and tractor beams. Also modified to be able to be used in liquid environments. Retired after the Hop Civil War. Common.
