Summary
The era of The Second Great Hop Expansion saw the end to several conflicts in the universe and a long-lasting peace. However, this peace was a cold-war boiling point of political and religious tension in the fallout of the Hop Civil War that occured prior. Among the remnants of the defeated factions were several notable sub-factions and notable figures that conspired against the Grand Sop Army and Karrots.
As several of them has personal reasons to work against Hop and his people, regardless of whose side they served on, they worked with the next largest force in the universe to secure a victory and hold the power of the Hoppists at bay long enough to institute a new, one-sided treaty. This would neutralize the hopfolk eternally and leave Hop as the sole enemy of the universe. These figures met several times across the timespan following The Battle of Tuirqo that marked the end of the war.
Known Members/Associates
Hoppist intelligence has identified the following entities that were a part of the faction leading into the Karrots-K'Ursan War:
- W'Nan-Sie (until his defeat)
- The Lightning Rangers (until their arrest, now MIA)
- The K'Ursan Federation Council, Science Division (specifically the "Project Memory" team, jailed under K'Ursan law)
- Infinite Ones "Bau-shod" and "Nivit-huul" (killed by Hop)
- Tuirqo-born terrorist "The Bull" (MIA)
- The Grey Sunspot Clan (dissolved by the Grand Sop Army)
History
Formation
After 102 Orbits SA, numerous races across the universe feared hopfolk for the ravages of the Hop Civil War. Millions of star systems were attacked, destroyed, manipulated and enslaved by The New Sop Order. Because of their traditional appearance to the hopfolk of the most notable eras in Hoppist history, the wider universe recognized them as the representatives of the hopfolk of Karrots. A brutal, militaristic and unethical force that sought the obtain power to honor Sop.
The inhabitants of these other worlds grew to fear hopfolk, Hoppist or not. In the several orbits leading up to 300 Orbits SA, "Frhank" and Buddy had left the world stage and ventured into the depths uncharted space. K'Ursa, without the wise guidance (and overwhelming power to enforce the original Alliance Treaty), began to work with the shadow collective of the Coalition until informally creating the faction under the guise of legitimate hospitality towards Hoppists.
